Where Fiction Meets Biblical Truth

Have you ever wanted to read Christian fantasy that exalts the Gospel? How about a story that shows:

  • Becoming Christian doesn’t lead to a problem-free life.
  • That Christians have substantial character flaws and times of failure.
  • That the Gospel is not about wealth, prosperity, and personal power.

JUSTIFICATION

So that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in jesus

JUSTIFICATION Follows Stephen Oteino, one of seven men who wage war alongside angels against demonic forces. His hegeomai, the leader of the seven, falls deathly ill, which portends a successor. Stephen’s unresolved past makes him a vulnerable leader, so why do the signs point to him?

Jaxton Ashburne, a man foreign to the Gospel, inadvertently causes the death of his loved one. When a vengeful demonic chief discovers the link between Jaxton and Stephen, he begins a spiritual war that will seal Jaxton and Stephen’s fate forever.

Release Date and Status

The Justification manuscript is complete. I’m working on a short story involving Stephen Otieno, which will be released for free to readers on marketing websites. After that short story, I will launch a kick starter. God willing, all within this year.

Hi, I’m Kurt

I’ve loved storytelling ever since I was able to visualize characters in my head. Yes, I was the type of kid that had imaginary friends. I spoke to them, and they spoke back to me.  I played an “adventure game” with my childhood friends for years. We slew dragons, goblins, and evil warlocks, until we decided we were too cool for those things.

I left the worlds I imagined behind as I grew older, but my enjoyment of story never faded. As my Christian faith grew in my late teens, I found so much of Christian-genre fiction lacking. That made little sense to me, because whenever I read the Bible, I felt captivated by God’s sovereign hand in showing (not telling) great and inspirational tales. The many people of the Bible persevered under tribulations, fell into sinful error, and struggled deeply with their faith. The Bible never was to me only a book of do’s and don’ts. It was repertoire of provoking stories and soul-saving truths. The name above all names that stepped down from His throne to save lost sinners at war with Him, is above all, the greatest story.
